Being Still

Right about now, at some level, we all are practicing the art of being still. We all are indulging in our natural states of being and turning off our autopilots. We all are having to slow down, switch gears, and move accordingly so that our basic needs are met. Some have lost their jobs and are relying on a system that has already failed them once, and others are fortunate enough to have work, but are adjusting to new environments and systematic structures. Whether you work a 9-5, are an Entrepreneur, or dip & dab in between both, the common dominator between everyones story is change.

Disclaimer: No I’m not about to hop in my influencers bag, and shove a bunch of advice down your throat, but I do want to encourage everyone to take some time & reconnect with yourself. Reconnect with the good, the bad, the pretty, and the ugly. Realign with your goals, your deepest desires, and that vision board that you’ve worked extra hard on last December. (Yeah I know you've been neglecting it since then lol...and thats okay)

Being that the virus is taking its course, and a lot of things are up in the air right now, the only thing that we can control is ourselves. I especially have been taking this time to dig deep and face the ugly parts of me that I have been avoiding for a while. The parts filled with years of hurt, anger, and resentment that’s been holding me back. The parts that are buried so deep inside my subconscious, that not even the proper shovel can dig them out. Needless to say, I am doing the necessary work to become the best version of myself. Everyday I am journaling my inner thoughts and emotions, meditating on the life that I deserve, and turning my bad habits into good ones. I will admit, facing and reliving through what broke you can be an excruciating experience, but having not to run anymore, feels even better!
